A place to inhabit history.

About us

In the heart of San Luis, across 91,500 acres —an expanse equivalent to two cities the size of Buenos Aires— lies Estancia Chischaca: one of the largest and most exclusive private estates in Argentina.

Since 1840, this land has been the meeting place of indigenous peoples, criollos, and Europeans; a stage for historic feats, resilience, and courage. Today, that legacy lives on alongside a lodge of character and great comfort, and an exclusive hunting reserve, chosen by travelers from around the world who seek something different: authenticity, nature, and time.

Chischaca is not just a destination; it is inhabiting a real and palpable history. An experience to be lived, explored, and remembered.

Welcome to the
Chischaca Experience.

Where history left its mark

During the 19th century, Chischaca was the stage of the Argentine civil war, a strategic meeting point for military encounters and alliances among Ranquel people, criollos, and unitarians.

In this very historic headquarters —which today welcomes our guests— key figures of our political and social life gathered to plan actions that shaped the future of San Luis and the Nation.

Today, Estancia Chischaca is a family project that honors its past and projects it into the future.

OUR COMMITMENT IS CLEAR: TO PRESERVE MEMORY, RESPECT THE LAND, AND OFFER AN EXPERIENCE OF EXCELLENCE, CARED FOR IN EVERY DETAIL.

The lodge

Our exclusive lodge combines the charm of a historic estate with the comfort and warmth of a top-tier accommodation.

ANCESTRAL TRADITION, RESPONSIBLE EXPERIENCE

These lands were historically the territory of the Ranquel people, where hunting was part of their culture and knowledge of the environment.

Today, that legacy continues under contemporary criteria of conservation, ethics, and population control.

The hunting experience takes place across 91,500 acres of private land in San Luis, Argentina.

The vast majority of the estate is authorized for hunting and combines:

  • • Extensive free-range areas for an authentic and challenging experience.
  • • Strategically managed sectors in a closed-reserve modality.

This combination allows a balance between open nature and responsible management.
